BDE's approach to SPI comprises:
- Developing and maintaining information security policies
- Determining the cost-effectiveness of any chosen programme
- Establishing and implementing risk management procedures
- Developing criteria for pin-pointing critical information and periodically monitoring the effectiveness of the criteria used to decide on vulnerability
- Providing effective security training, and monitoring compliance
and addresses precise responsibilities such as pre-employment screening, creating and implementing non-competition and secrecy agreements within employment contracts, and agreements with third parties.
